Bute Yard boasts a contemporary indoor space with an abundance of natural light, underfloor heating and open-plan bar and kitchen facilities. The maximum overall venue capacity on site is 500, allowing flexible space configurations for events of all sizes. A blank canvas, Bute Yard inspires endless event interpretations, creating unique and memorable experiences for all organisers and guests.
OUTDOOR
Set on the Isle of Bute, the outdoor space is nestled among Rothesay’s historic centre, including one of the oldest dwellings on Bute. It naturally lends itself to outdoor wedding ceremonies, open-air markets and festivals, pop-up stalls and food trucks. The space is complemented by outdoor bar seating and on-site parking space.
BAR
For all events big and small, our accessible bar is stocked with refreshments and indoor and outdoor seating is available. Open Mon-Sun from 12 noon, the bar offers dedicated service to events in Bute Yard, or a space in itself to host parties, celebrations, get-togethers or meetings. Beautifully furnished in reclaimed timber, the bar also provides a behind-the-scenes view of the inner workings at Bute Brew Co and Isle of Bute Distillery.
The 70m² modern kitchen provides an option to feed guests and delegates with the flexibility of self-catering or professional catering for all events requiring food. The kitchen is equipped with food preparation areas, double sinks, handwash facilities, refrigeration, good lighting, fully equipped pot wash, dry and cold storage space, kitchenware and combi ovens. The kitchen provides a great setup for chefs and caterers to hold a pop-up or service an event, with only specialist kits and special crockery or cutlery needs to be brought in.
